The emission of the patented light frequencies of BIOVITAE® stimulates the porphyrins of the bacteria by activating an uncontrollable METABOLIC REACTION. The endogenous porphyrins are excited and interact with oxygen, producing reactive oxygen species (ROS) that cause oxidative damage to the cell membrane of the microbes and, therefore, their destruction by photodynamic inactivation.

The U.C. Sampdoria is on the front row in the fight against Covid-19, and beyond. On the morning of Thursday 9 September, the Genoese sports club presented to the press the results of the tests of the “Sampdoria Biosafe” project with which it aims to create a sanitation standard for all areas of its sports center through Biovitae, the revolutionary technology of no UV microbicidal lighting that offers a continuous and passive sanitizing action. Amedeo Baldari, U.C. Sampdoria, Gianni Melioli, medical director of Alliance Medical, Mauro Pantaleo and Rosario Valles, respectively president and scientific director of Nextsense.

In particular, the results of the project have shown that Biovitae in a real environment is able to achieve a percentage reduction of the microbial load of more than 80%. Biovitae Products
Biovitae is a preventive device that does not replace pharmacological treatments or other measures envisaged to limit the risks of contagion. Biovitae eliminates bacteria and viruses from surfaces and environments and, therefore, significantly reduces the risk of contagion from contact (surfaces/hands/mucous membranes) and aerosols but nothing can combat direct person-to-person contagion to avoid which only mask and spacing are effective.
The Biovitae Bulb A60 9 watt bulb corresponds to about 75 watts of an old incandescent lamp.
Efficacy is achieved by irradiation of the cone of light of the surfaces. Normally a cone of light radiated by an LED bulb placed at a standard height (2.80-3.00m) covers an area of about 8/10 sqm.
Therefore, for the effective coverage of a 20 m2 room it is recommended to install at least 2 BIOVITAE Domus, at a distance of 1.5 m from each other.
The sanitization activity of BIOVITAE Domus is carried out through the same lighting device and simultaneously with the lighting function. To ensure the best possible coverage, it is always recommended to install it on the ceiling, at an adequate height and with the light source facing downwards.
BIOVITAE maintains its effectiveness even if installed inside a lamp, provided that it is opaque or transparent and the light source faces the surface to be sanitised. If Biovitae Domus is placed on a piece of furniture, it obviously has limited efficacy because the irradiation is upward.
Biovitae Domus also works in a ceiling lamp. BIOVITAE frequencies are light frequencies and pass wherever light can pass. The proof is that the bulb is also opaline.
